What if you had the power to play God with other cultures? Would you? Or should you? Captains on Star Trek are confronted with this question time and again, and we see the consequences of their actions (and inanactions) over and over. The Prime Directive is the principle guiding how the Federation deals with other cultures, and this week Mike and Barry look at the pros and cons of the non-interference directive by focusing on TOS and Enterprise. It's been a sad week in Trek fandom, with the passing of Leonard Nimoy. Mike and Barry take some time to remember Nimoy and the fantastic character of Spock he nurtured and made into a fascinating fixture of science fiction and popular culture.
