If you had the ability to conjure up any environment, any fictional situation, any character or real person and have the ability to interact with them in any way you wanted, would you?  These are the questions posed by a number of Star Trek episodes that take place on that wonderful, futuristic invention known as the holodeck.  But what are the ethical limits to its use? "Never work with children or animals" is an old show-biz adage - we may get to Data's cat, Spot, in a future episode, but this week Mike and Barry discuss the featured young characters on Star Trek. Love them or hate them, they helped give young viewers someone to identify with and provided a more innocent perspective on the future. We look at the mail children characters of Star Trek, and the actors who played them this week in Episode 48, "And the Children Characters Shall Lead."
