Music has always been an integral part of Star Trek, and the various composers and performers have captured the essence of what Trek is about for many years.  This week, Mike and Barry take a look at the numerous soundtrack artists whose memorable themes and melodies have underscored the adventure, romance and exploration of the human adventure of Star Trek.  In Part 1, we look at The Original Series and its 1960's influences both in orchestral and popular music, then examine the soundtracks and composers of each of the original cast movies.
